Meander off the beaten path and explore remote areas. The popular whisky distilleries are great to visit, as are the lesser known off-the-beaten-path plants. For example, on the same day in Speyside you might visit the famous Aberlour Distillery in the morning, followed by a very special trip to up and coming GlenAllachie in the afternoon.
No Scottish adventure is complete without plenty of historical tangibility – we’ve got you covered. From the Kildalton Cross on Islay to the Culloden Battlefield near Inverness, history is key to building your trip.
Combining whisky with history is a great option, such a s with a visit to Glenmorangie Distillery. There is also a fantastic recreation near the distillery, carved by a local stone mason named Barry Grove.
