A whisky tasting doesn’t need to be super complex. Aside from the whisky, the most important aspect is quality people. A nice ambience doesn’t hurt either.
The Relaxed Format is successful in many applications as it allows the people to drive the vibe without too much influence from our staff. Sure, we love to ham it up and present, but sometimes it’s best to just let the night unfold.
In this scenario, we set up our pop-up bar and provide cocktails and top-class whisky service either on a walk-up basis, or by making our way around the room and filling glasses. Some groups are more proactive than others (more thirsty, in other words), while other groups prefer to be served. We can read a room and adapt accordingly.
